Five Unbelievable Kitchen Designs

Modern/Minimalist Design

Modern designs and minimalistic designs usually go hand in hand. They are centered around keeping things simple and usually having the majority of the color being a greyscale (like a light grey or white) and a pastel accent color. KZ Kitchen’s European style cabinets are a great example of this design.

Typically, this style usually works best if your kitchen is nice and open. The goal of this style is to make the place not only look bigger and more spacious but also inviting and decluttered.

Vibrant Kitchen Design

This style of kitchen isn't quite as popular as it once was, but it can still be very effective if done correctly. This style is focused on the idea of using many shades of bright or vibrant color. A good example of this would be using the color yellow.

You can use stainless steel appliances for a nice neutral base. Consider replacing an older sink set up with a new kitchen faucet to brighten up the room. Then, you can paint your cabinets a nice bright yellow. This style is not for everyone, but if done correctly, it can be stunning. You can also do something similar but instead of a bright color, you can use a pastel color. This will have a similar effect but won't be as in your face.

Rustic Kitchen Design

Rustic designs are typically not something you see used very often in a home kitchen. This style of kitchen is only really viable in older homes as the style would clash too much in many newer homes. However, if you live in an older house and any of the original brick is still visible in the interior of the house, this style of kitchen could be a stunning compliment to your home. KZ Kitchen’s ceramic kitchen sinks blend well with a rustic design and layout.

Additionally, industrial copper sinks, wooden hanging plate holders, and sealed wood countertops are other design ideas you can try. Finding rustic ideas is easy, but applying them to your kitchen can take a bit of creativity.

Using Plants

House plants are something any home should have. Many people have a house plant or two in their living room but not many people think to use them in their kitchen. Although regular house plants can be used on kitchen countertops to liven the space up, growing some fresh herbs on the windowsill will not only liven the space up, but also create a nice aroma. Another bonus is that you can pick herbs fresh when cooking right from your kitchen!

Tight Space Ideas

Tiny homes are a rising trend throughout the nation. Given how tiny the kitchens in these homes are, maximizing the utility of every bit of space is important. You can buy or build storage containers that double as a dinner table, have a fold-out futon for eating, or use barstools that are able to be folded up and hidden away. There are many other brilliant ideas that you can find to maximize every bit of space in your small kitchen area. These ideas can also carry over to a small apartment or dorm room for a cozy and usable kitchen.
