Low water absorption


According to the American national standards institute(ANSI) rating system for the moisture absorption of tiles, porcelain tile rating with water absorption of 0.5 percent or less. with the low water absorption, porcelain tile can be suitability of the various types of tile for interior or exterior use. for outdoor use, the selected tile must have a very low water absorption rate, especially in climates subjected to rainfall, freezing. for indoor use, low water absorption rate also enables a tile to absorb food or beverages stains on a lesser percentage. this is where porcelain tile is generally categorized.


Density

Tile with water absorption of 0.5 percentage or less, its reflects the density of the tile body. the lower water absorption of tile does, its turns out the high density of tile. porcelain tile usually rate hardness on group 3 and higher, the group 3 means the tile suited for all residential and light commercial ares such as office, reception areas, boutiques, kitchen and bathroom.

Pattern 

Porcelain tile has many styles patterns, colorful, such as the glazed porcelain tile, it use the ink jet machine to print image onto surface, and glazed apply over the tile to protect the image. The protection gives a better stains resistant to tile.
